Peggy Pittman Turner

BUTNER- Mrs. Peggy Lou Turner, 75, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021 with her loving granddaughter, Holly Schmidt, by her side.

Mrs. Turner was born on March 30, 1945 to Ernest and Violet Pittman in Durham, NC. She worked at Hazel’s Restaurant on Guess Road.  She was a member of the Covenant Life Apostolic Church in Butner.

Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Violet Pittman; husband, Bennie Lee Turner; son, Edward Lee Turner; and great grandson, Jeremiah Lee Turner.

Mrs. Turner is survived by her sons, Clifton Turner (Tracey), Danny Turner, and Benie Joseph Turner (Karin Toski), grandchildren Tory Lassiter (Mark), Melinda Turner, Brittany Turner, Jessica Rector, Catelynn Turner, Hayleigh Turner, Victoria Turner, Holly Schmidt, Danny (DJ) Turner, Jr. (Kassi), Chasity Champion, Patsy Newman (John), Dylan Turner, Jasmine Turner and 8 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Turner was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed church, her family, and her beloved dog, Gregory. She loved eating out with family, collecting butterflies and angels, and spending time in the mountains and at the beach.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Covenant Life Apostolic Church at 229 East B Street, Butner, N.C. Officiating will be Pastor David Akers. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Hudson Funeral Home will be observing social distancing for visitation as well as the funeral service, and asks everyone in attendance to wear a mask when entering the building.
