Rachel Carden McCorkle

CREEDMOOR Mrs. Rachel Carden McCorkle, 72, of Creedmoor, died on Sunday, May 13, 2012.Mrs. McCorkle was a native of Durham, the daughter of the late Benjamin Carden and Lois King Carden. She retired from GTE after 30 years and retired after 15 years from Duke University in Payroll. She was a member of Calvary Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Ruth McCorkle.She is survived by her husband, Robert McCorkle and three sons, Johnny McCorkle, James McCorkle and Andy McCorkle all of Creedmoor.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Calvary Free Will Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Virgil Nolen and Rev. Bill McCorkle. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home, 1189 Rotterdam Lane in Creedmoor.
