Remi Weiman, 18, passed away on October 14, in Chapel Hill, NC. Remi was born in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of Jane and Mitchell Weiman and the sister of Ross Weiman. Remi attended Ravenscroft High School and later went on to UNC Chapel Hill. Remi’s love for horses was her greatest passion and she spent many of her days at Hidden Spring Farm with her beloved horse family as well as others in Virginia. In addition to her love of horses, Remi was passionate about her summer camp Poko-o-Macready in the Adirondack mountains of New York. Remi attended Poko at the young age of seven, and never looked back. It was at Poko that Remi made life long friends and spent summers she would never forget. In 2017, Remi became an Adirondack 46er, climbing all 46 peaks over 4000 feet in the Adirondacks, an accomplishment of a lifetime. The lives Remi touched at camp spanned from the littlest of campers to the entire adult staff. There was no one who did not love Remi. Her personality, smile and joy were infectious and everyone wanted to be with her. There was nothing she could not bake and she was willing to try anything. She was a true daredevil and in Remi fashion, went sky diving for her eighteenth birthday and unbeknownst to her family, bull riding.
