RALEIGH Mrs. Rita Addison Kerr, 88, of Raleigh, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 18, 2015.
Mrs. Kerr was born in Durham, the daughter of the late Lewis and Lollie Thompson Addison. She graduated from Durham High School in 1944. She retired from Triangle Car Care as a Bookkeeper. Mrs. Kerr attended North Raleigh Chapel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Worth” Kerr.
She is survived by her son, Robert Wiley Kerr and wife, Karen of Raleigh and Rita K. Boggs and husband, Lloyd of Raleigh; three grandchildren Carl Boggs (Kristen), Jenna Robinson (Andy) and Nicholas Ashley (Cheryl); great-grandchildren, Reagan Boggs, Kennedy Boggs and Ned Robinson.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Addison Family Cemetery on Junction Road. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Ashley, Brandon Chisholm, Nicholas Chisholm, Patrick Dierling, Michael Dillard and Robert Dunn.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, Robert Kerr, 6519 Pleasant Pines Dr. Raleigh, NC 27613.
