Robert Council

Robert Council, 59, of Durham passed away at his home February 14, 2025. Robert was born March 24, 1965, in Orange County to the late Ernest Aaron Council and Ada Council.

In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by a brother John Council.

Robert is survived by his brothers, Donald Council, Billy Council and Jimmy Council; sisters, Judi Council, Callie Council, Jenny Council, Lucy Sappenfield (Jack), Susan Council and Robin Council.

In recent years, Robert was an electrician with Harris Brothers Electric and had been an electrician for more than 40 years working with Adams Electric and Quality Electric. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.

A visitation for Robert will be held on Sunday March 2, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Martha’s Chapel Christian Church followed by a funeral service at 2:30 p.m. at the church. Officiating will be Reverend Robert Brinson.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
