GRANVILLE CO.- Robert “Dinky” Sylvanus Joyner, Sr., 73, of Oxford died on Thursday, July 24, 2014. He was the son of the late Luther Samuel Joyner, Sr. and Polly Ann Rich Joyner. He retired from Southern Industrial Electric, was owner of Joyner’s Motor Inn Restaurant. He loved his dogs and cats. He was a member of Sherron Acres Church.
He is survived by his wife, Joe Ann Cooley Joyner, three sons, Bobby Joyner of Melborne, FL; Timmy Wing of Oxford; Dennis Jr. Wing of Louisiana, four daughters, Renee Walsh of Creedmoor; Rebecca Joyner of Chapel Hill; Tiffany Joyner of Franklin Co.; and Taunya Dye of Arkansas; one sister Joel Gonzalez of Princeton, NC, twenty two grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church, 1512 Beaver Dam Rd., Creedmoor.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable. Online condolences can be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
