Robert Halliburton “Bob” Elliott

DURHAM Mr. Robert Haliburton “Bob” Elliott, 89, of Durham, died on Wednesday, December 14, 2016.
Mr. Elliott was born in Granville County, the son of the late Robert Devon Elliott and Carrie Elliott Penninger. He retired from Garland Woodcraft, where he began his career in 1947 as part-owner and shop foreman. He was a former member of Carr United Methodist Church and a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed being a member of the Bull City Street Rod Association, racing and camping. He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Minor Elliott and brothers James and Maynard(Joe) Elliott.
He is survived by his brother, Willy T. Elliott and wife, Carolyn of Durham; nephews, Tony Elliott, Gary Elliott and Ronnie Elliott; nieces Peggy Jackson, Lynn Ann Elliott; sister-in-law, Maria Elliott and several great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Rev. Don Christian Jr. will officiate. Pallbearers will be Brad Miles, Mark Frazier, Guy Guidry, Robert Woods, Kevin Kirk and Eddie Kirk. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., before the services at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of his brother.
