Robert Mitchell

Durham-Robert Christopher Mitchell, 49, of 617 Hazelwood Dr. died on Sunday, January 1, 2012. He was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late Clarence Roland Mitchell and Edna Goss Mitchell. He was a Heating and Air Conditioning Technician for Real Estate Associates and also a member of Wakeminster Baptist Church. Robert loved working, was a handyman, and loved all of his family. He was preceded in death by a brother Edward Jerome Mitchell.He is survived by his wife, Wanda Ray Mitchell of 27 years; one son Jonathan Clarence Mitchell and wife Mary of Durham; one daughter, Heather Dawn Mitchell of Durham; four sisters, Lorena Hunt of Raleigh; Dianna Peach of Apex; Teresa George of Durham and Patricia King of Durham.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Wakeminster Baptist Church, Raleigh, N.C. Rev. Merle Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
