Robert Tony Lassiter

DURHAM- Mr. Robert Tony Lassiter, 73, passed away on, August 24, 2021.

Mr. Lassiter was born March 2, 1948 to the late James and Ethel Lassiter in Durham, NC. After 30 years, Robert retired from American Tobacco Company and became the owner and operator of Lassiter Machine Shop in Durham, NC. He loved fishing and was a member of the Tarheel Bass Club. Robert enjoyed being outside hunting and loved racing. He was a kind, compassionate individual and made an impact on everyone he met. Robert will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his son, Larry Wayne Lassiter; brother, Jimmy Lassiter; sisters, Teresa Lassiter Wilder and Barbara Lassiter Smith.

Robert is survived by his son, Tony Dale Lassiter; brothers, Billy Lassiter and Jerry Lassiter (Theresa); sister, Diana Lassiter Utley; and grandchildren, Cole Lassiter, Brandon Lassiter, and Josh Lassiter.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 27, 2021 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Greg Long. A visitation will be held one-hour prior from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Friday, August 27, 2021 at Hudson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
