DURHAM- Mr. Roland Wayne Lee, 85, passed away, Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Hock Family Pavilion.
Mr. Lee was born November 22, 1934 to the late William and Maude Lee in Durham, NC. He proudly served his country in the United States National Guard. Mr. Lee then retired from Gibson Fencing Company. He loved to play golf, old westerns, new cars, but most of all, he enjoyed sitting in his back porch sipping in some unsweetened ice-tea and watching the trees sway and the animals run around the yard. (He also loved blowing leaves and cleaning the house). Mr. Lee will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Lee is survived by his wife of 63 years, Gladys D. Lee of Durham; daughter, Rhonda Lee (Thom Mock) of Raleigh; sister, Lorraine Churchill of Durham; grandchildren, Tiffany Paige Fulbright and Rodney “Tyler” Allison.
A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Maplewood Cemetery. Officiating will be Larry Batts. A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2020 at Hudson Funeral Home.
