Sgt. Ronald Alan Wiggins (Ron), passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2022, at the age of 51.
Ron worked for thirty years as a Police Officer in Durham, NC. After retiring in May 2020, Ron worked at Ragin’ Bull Harley Davidson, where he was a sales professional. He loved serving his community and sharing his love of Harleys.
Ron will be dearly missed by his wife, Angela Garcia Wiggins.
He is survived by his children: Damian Chase Wiggins (Ashley Willingham), Gavin Martin Wiggins, daughter-in-law, Amanda Warren, Bonnie Wiggins and grandson, Jasper Pfeffer.
In addition to his children, Ron is survived by his parents, Phillip R. and Janice Faye Watson Wiggins, his brother, Brian Mitchell Wiggins (Lauren Wiggins). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Chris Fisher, Tommy Tilley, Jay Burwell, Mclloyd Bynum, Chad Johnson, and Vance Stewart.
A funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m., Friday, January 7, 2022, at The Summit Church – Brier Creek Campus (2335 Presidential Drive Durham, NC 27703) with a visitation being held two hours prior from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Officiating will be Chaplain Ralph Thompson. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive family and friends following services at 900 Goodwin Rd, Durham, NC.
Ron will be remembered as a dedicated husband, father, and son. Ron was viewed as a fatherly figure and superhero to many. Ron was a fun, loving person who made friends everywhere.
