Ronald Beck Walker

DURHAM- Mr. Ronald “Tena” Beck Walker, 80, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019.

Mr. Walker was born May 10, 1938 to Luther and Rachel Walker in Johnson County, NC. He was an excellent golfer, fisherman, grill master, and card player. Ronald was an excellent father, husband, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Mr. Walker is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Rachel Walker; brother, Thomas “Jerry” Walker; half-brother, Sonny Walker; stepsister, Patricia Scott Bain; half-sister, Margie Satterfield; great granddaughter, Leah Elizabeth Leathers.

Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Sue Griggs Walker; sons, Jamie Lee Walker (Renee) of Durham, NC, Terry Todd Walker of Timberlake, NC; stepson, Gary Wagoner (Jami) of Chicago, IL; sister, Faye Lanier of Durham, NC; half-sister, Margaret Dunn of Roxboro, NC; granddaughter, Jennifer Walker Leathers (Lee) of Rougemont, NC; step-grandson, Oliver Wagoner, Jackson Wagoner; great grandchildren, Logan Leathers, Morgan Leathers, Grayson Leathers; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Hudson Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

A graveside service will be held Friday, January 25, 2019 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Reverend Ken Forehand.

Flowers are acceptable, or in lieu of flowers the family requests donations made to charity of choice.

Family will receive friends at Jamie Lee Walker’s home in Durham, NC.
