DURHAM Mr. Ronnie L. Fisher, 77, of Durham, died on Wednesday, April 29, 2015.

Mr. Fisher was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late Talmadge and Reba Tanner Fisher. He retired as an engineer with AT&T. He was a member of Gorman Baptist Church. Ronnie enjoyed collecting antiques and helping out at Brick Alley Antiques in Mebane. He loved playing golf and enjoyed traveling with his wife and his family time. He was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Haswell

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Currie Fisher; daughter, Cindy Glenn and husband, Johnny of Stem, Rhonda Gann and husband, David of Durham; grandchildren, Kyle and Maggie Glenn, Jennifer and Will Holder, Christopher Gann and Brittney Gann; great-grandchildren, Carter and Pait Glenn and Will Holder Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Gorman Baptist Church. Dr. C. J. Bordeaux will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Donnie Bass, Charlie Bass, E. V. McBroom, Chris Howett, Vernon Averett and Whitey Garnes.  Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Hillandale Golf Course and all his golf friends of Hillandale and Croasdaile Country Club.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Flowers are acceptable or donations to the Gorman Christian Academy, 3811 E. Geer Street, Durham NC 27704-3916. Online condolences may be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
