Rose Cash Perry

DURHAM- Rose Cash Perry, age 76, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 31, 2021. You could always find her with a smile on her face and a sweet spirit. She loved her family deeply and was a blessing to those around her.

Mrs. Perry was born on November 14, 1944, in Durham, NC to John and Ethel Cash. Rose was a faithful member of Roberson Grove Baptist Church in Durham, NC and served as the treasurer for 30 years until she became unable to attend due to her illness. She worked hard for her family during the years at Burlington Industries, Weck and Durham County Public Schools, as a school bus monitor for special needs children. All of the children on the bus loved her and she loved them back as if they were her own.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Ethel Cash; Sisters, Faye Beddingfield, Clara Pennington, and Betty Carpenter; and Brothers, Ricky Cash, Larry Cash and Bobbie Cash.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Robert Perry of Durham, NC; her children, Lisa Clevenger (Billy) of Youngsville, Scott Perry (Christy) of Wake Forest, and Brad Perry (Angie) of Creedmoor; Grandchildren, Travis Clevenger (Samantha), Tyler Clevenger, Jordan Perry (Skyler) and Corbin Perry; Great Grandchildren, Logan and Olivia Clevenger; Two sisters, Jean Carter (Tommy) and Carolyn Ray (Buster); and brother: Donnie Cash (Patsy).

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2021 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held one hour prior from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Jack O’Neal. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
