Russell Dossett Goodwin

DURHAM-Mr. Russell Dossett Goodwin, 87,  of Durham died on Saturday, August 24, 2013. He was the son of the late Freeland Goodwin and Viola Goodwin. He served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Sperry Rand after 30 years as an Engineer. He was a member of Gorman Baptist Church and Dowd Thornton Sunday School Class.

He is survived by his wife Fannie Mae Goodwin, one son, Michael K. Goodwin (Teresa), one grandson, Keith Goodwin, two sister-in-laws, Frances Goodwin and Betty Jo  Boothe, one brother-in-law, J.D. Boothe, several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Dr. C.J. Bordeaux will officiate.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Gorman Baptist Church, 3315 E.
