Ruth Flowers Bridwell

BRIDWELLDURHAM Mrs. Ruth Flowers Bridwell, 84, a former resident of Durham, died in Charleston, SC on Tuesday, February 15, 2011.Mrs. Bridwell was born in Nash County to the late William C. Flowers and Susan Leona Helms Flowers. She attended Edgemont Free Will Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Susan B. Richards of Charleston; two grandchildren, Miranda Egger of Denver CO., Meagan Pratt of Hesperia, Calif. and 5 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. Andy Brown. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be John DeLong, Vernon Daughteridge, Wesley Daughteridge, Ray Stallings and Stan Medlin.The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m., prior to the service at Hudson Funeral Home.
