Sandra Nell Morris

Sandra Nell Morris, 72, of Durham, North Carolina, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 14, 2024. She was born on September 8, 1952 in Johnston County, North Carolina to the late Fred and Barbara Peedin.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, Jerry Morris, Sr.; son, Jerry Morris, Jr. and her sister, Joanne Rowton.

Mrs. Morris was wonderful Christian Woman, who was a member at Riverside Independent Baptist Church for over 20 years where she was a member of the choir. She also taught Sunday school at Union Grove Baptist Church.

Sandra dearly loved not only her family but her church family as well. She enjoyed grilling out, cooking and listening to gospel music. Mrs. Morris was always a happy person and made a happy and loving household. She will be remembered as an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and sister who took great care of her family. 

Mrs. Morris is survived by her two loving sons, Jeff Morris and Steven Morris; grandchildren, Zachary Morris and Jessica Morris; Best Friend, Patsy Ashley and other loving family members and friends.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 from 12p to 1p at Riverside Independent Baptist Church, 4601 Guess Rd, Durham, NC 27712
