Sandra Wilson Blake

DURHAM- Mrs. Sandra Wilson Blake, 81, passed away peacefully, September 27, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones.

Mrs. Blake was born November 23, 1939, to the late Claude and Lucille Wilson in Durham, NC.  Sandra absolutely loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Whenever she was not with her family, she was working with other children at the many schools she worked for over the years. She loved going to the beach and would always go whenever she could. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be missed so dearly.

Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Richard Blake; son, Rick Blake (Tammy) of Winston-Salem, NC and a daughter, Susan; brother, Lanis Wilson (Donna) of Fuquay Varina, NC; sister, Barbara W. Ferguson (Delmus) of Statesville, NC; grandchildren, Ian R. Blake (Cristina), Ashley Wentz (Brooks), Dylan Carlisle (Martha), Shane M. Blake (Grace); and great-grandchildren, Addy Wentz, Drake Wentz, Walker Blake, Elliot Blake, and Anastasia Blake.

A visitation will be held from 12:30-1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church, 1204 Lynn Road in Durham. Officiating will be Pastor Chris Otto.
