Scott Wayne “Buddy” Ferrell

DURHAM Scott Wayne “Buddy” Ferrell, 28, a former resident of Durham, died on Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Scott was living in Wendell at the time of his accident.
Scott was a service technician with Snappy Lube. He graduated from Southern High School in the Class of 2004. He formerly attended First Pentecostal Church. Scott enjoyed stock car racing and football.
He is survived by his son, Conner James Ferrell; Fiancée, Jaquelynne May; his parents, Jeffrey Scott Ferrell and Tracy McKee; paternal grandmother, Laura Richardson and step-grandfather, “Junior” Richardson; sister, Brittany Shotwell and step-sister, Lorie Clifton.
Funeral service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Pastor Johnny Godair will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of his grandmother, Laura Richardson, 3131 Redwood Road in Durham.
