Sharron Sue Shepherd

December 21, 1960 — January 16, 2015

DURHAM Sharron Sue Shepherd, died Wednesday evening, January 14, 2015 after a brief illness at UNC Hospitals from complications associated with acute leukemia (AML). Until last summer, Sharron had lived and worked in Roanoke, VA for a number of years. She was a graduate of Skyline Community College with an associate’s degree in medical services. Prior to her brief illness, she was employed by Springview Assisted Living, of Burlington, NC.
Surviving family include Sharron’s mother, Mrs. Darlene Few and her husband, Theron Few of 302 Emerson Drive, Mebane, NC 27302 (where Sharron was living, temporarily); Diana Hall, sister, and Johnny King of Wake Forest; Brandon Hall, nephew, of Raleigh; Lisa Shepherd Tysor (Cliff) and nephew, Seth, of Graham and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at Hudson Funeral Chapel in Durham, NC on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 11 am, conducted by The Reverend Kevin Baker, senior pastor of Graham First United Methodist Church and The Reverend Sue Perry. Interment will be beside her twin sister, Kimberly Ann, who died August 20th, last, and her Father, Charles Daniel Shepherd, who died in early January 1, 2002. Their younger brother, “Charlie” died August 13, 2006.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity. Acknowledgements may be mailed to Darlene Few, 302 Emerson Drive, Mebane, NC 27302.
