Sheila Vance Ray

DURHAM  Sheila Vance Ray, 67, of Durham, died on Tuesday, March 31, 2015.

Sheila was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late Buster and Ruth Crane Vance. She was preceded in death by her sister, Norma Sullivan.

She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Gregory and Nicole Ray both of Durham; sister, Vickie Gunter of Durham; grandchildren, Joey Gregory, Christopher Gregory, Nicholas Weddington and Alexa Overton.

Graveside services will be held on Friday at 3 p.m. at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Joey Gregory, David Gregory, Christopher Gregory, Jay Watkins, Nicholas Weddington and Larry Herndon.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., before the service at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Flowers are acceptable.
