Shirley Barbour Marshburn

OXFORD- Mrs. Shirley Barbour Marshburn, 88, passed away on, August 15, 2021.

Mrs. Marshburn was born June 15, 1933 to the late William and Viola Barbour. Shirley loved flower gardening, taking care of her cats, and crocheting. She enjoyed cooking for her family, as well as spending time together as a family. Shirley will be missed by many.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marshburn is preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Marshburn; and sisters, Alvie Mae Cannova and Rachel Lee.

Shirley is survived by her son, Ricky Marshburn (Marsia) of Oxford, NC; daughter, Teresa Tart of Timberlake, NC; grandchildren, Christopher Tart and Jennifer Taylor (Josh); great-grandchild, Wyatt Taylor; step-grandchild; Marcie Wood; step-great-grandchildren, Jessica Miller, Brandon Wood, and Brook Taylor; step-great-great-grandchildren, Kylie Taylor, Gracie Taylor, and Dawson Miller; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 19, 2021 at South Granville Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Rev. Hal Dickerson.
