Shirley Ann Barrow

Mrs. Shirley Ann Barrow, 84, passed away on June 15, 2022.

Shirley was born December 9, 1937, in Carthage, NC, a daughter of the late Harrison and Flora Mae Chappell Davis. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church for over 40 years. Shirley enjoyed reading stories to the children at Liberty Christian School and they called her “Grandma Barrow.” She retired after 21 years with Blue Cross Blue Shield as a Mail Clerk. Shirley was incredibly outgoing, very friendly, and caring. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barrow was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Barrow; brother, Edward Davis; and sisters, Doris Dickerson and Betty Jean Burnette.

Mrs. Barrow is survived by her son, Rick Eakes (Trish); daughter, Linda Eakes (Angie); grandchildren, David Eakes; as well as other loving family members and friends.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 20, 2022, at Hudson Funeral Home with a funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Scott Gray. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. For those unable to attend services, viewing and signing of the register book will be available tomorrow, Sunday, June 19, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Flowers are acceptable.
