Shirley McLamb Allen

HILLSBOROUGH Mrs. Shirley McLamb Allen, 78, of Hillsborough peacefully passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2015.
Mrs. Allen was born in Johnston County to the late Valton McLamb and Annie Irene Toler McLamb. She retired from Edward Weck and Company, Inc.
She will be greatly missed by her loving children and grandchildren; son, Billy Allen of Hillsborough; five daughters, Diane Baker of Rougemont, Deborah Rape and husband, Kevin of Peachland, Peggy Mitchell and husband, Steve of Creedmoor, Sheila Goins of Hillsborough and Christy Lamb of Hurdle Mills; four brothers, Don McLamb, Jack McLamb, Charles McLamb and Steve McLamb; two sisters, Paulette Fuller and Sharon “Susie” Wyles; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Steve Mitchell will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Diane Baker, 8306 Maggie Lane in Rougemont. Active pallbearers will be Chris Warren, Robbie Baker, Kevin Smith, Josh Smith, Steven Byrum and James T. Morgan Jr.
Flowers are acceptable.
