Shirley Oakley Rich

Mrs. Shirley Oakley Rich, 88, of Durham, died on Thursday, February 04, 2016.
Mrs. Rich was born in Denniston, Virginia to the late Harvey M. Oakley and Delia Frances Lowery. She was a member of Cheek Heights Baptist Church and attended Freedom Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Rich Fletcher and husband, Tommy of Durham; two brothers, Harry Oakley of Durham and H. P. Oakley of Florida; sister, Peggy Joyce Wilkerson of Roxboro; granddaughter, Ashley Fletcher and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Michael Hilliard will officiate. Burial will be in Brier Creek Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bobby Pate, Keith Pate, Greg Stocking, Eugene Fletcher, Tony Carter and Scott Perry.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Hudson Funeral home and other times at the home of Deborah Fletcher, 3810 Hanford Road, Durham, NC 27703. Flowers are acceptable.
