Susan Moore Murray

Susan Rosemary Moore Murray, 74 born January 9th, 1951, in Biloxi, Mississippi and passed Sunday, February 2nd, 2025, in Middleburg, Florida. She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Ruby Houlk Moore, and father, Windell Hoyt Moore and brother, Roger Grant Moore. 

Born in Biloxi Mississippi, she retired from Duke University as a Medical Secretary and resided in Durham, NC until 2019. Relocating to Orange Park, FL to be closer to her sons and granddaughters. She is survived by her eldest son, Bryan Murray, Shannon Murray (wife) and granddaughter Evelyn, youngest son, Roger Murray, Jean Murray (wife) and granddaughter, Madelyn. Susan is also survived by her brother, Thomas F. Moore of South Carolina and Robin Moore of North Carolina. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested your condolences. If you would like to donate to an organization on behalf of Susan, donations can be made to the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation. 

A memorial service will be held at the Bethesda Ruritan Club in Durham, NC, Friday, March 21st from 4-6pm.
