BREWERDURHAM Mrs. Sylvia Kathryn Brewer, 70, of 2571 Ardsley Drive, died on Thursday, January 19, 2012.Mrs. Brewer was a native and lifelong resident of Durham. She retired from Olsten Temporary Services. She was preceded in death by her father, Alvis Hunt, step-father, Gaither Parrish and brother, Ronnie Hunt.She is survived by her husband, Don Brewer; her mother, Helen Parrish of Durham; two daughters, Ellen Harward and husband, Doug of Durham and Patricia Brewer and friend, Jeremy of Durham; one brother, Kenneth Hunt of Durham; sister, Andrea Hunt of Durham; grandchildren, Matthew Brewer, Ryan Harward, Brendan, Harward, Grace Harward, Austen Futrell and Alexa Riley.Funeral services will be held on Monday at 12 noon at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Dr. Clay Waters will officiate. Burial will be in Brier Creek Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home, 2571 Ardsley Drive.
