Teresa Raye Huddleston George, 66, completed her baptism in the Lord Thursday afternoon, May 4, 2023. She was surrounded by her family at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC, and has been received into God’s eternal grace and peace.
Teresa was born November 10, 1956, in High Point, NC, to the late Charles Ray and Jacqueline Cox Huddleston. She grew up in Durham and graduated from Southern High School in 1975 and later from Atlantic Beauty College on Ninth Street. Teresa worked for Durham Public Schools for 16 years and in the Office of the Clerk of Court for 14 years before retiring in 2018. She was a member of C4 Church in Durham.

She showered her family, friends, and neighbors with love, generosity, and care. As a devoted daughter, she tended to her mother during her mother’s declining years. She especially enjoyed cheering for her grandchildren in softball, soccer, volleyball, dance, piano, and any activity they pursued. Teresa loved animals, laughter, shopping, going to the beach, and decorating for the holidays. This unique and wonderful woman will be dearly missed by all her loved ones.
