Thomas Henry Carter, Jr.

Thomas Henry Carter, Jr., 83, of Durham, passed away August 17, 2024, at Hock Family Pavilion.

 Mr. Carter was born in Wake County, NC on April 5, 1941, to the late Thomas Carter, Sr., and Inez Laughter Carter.

Mr. Carter is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mrs. Jean Cash Carter; sons, Tony Carter and wife Dianne, Tim Carter and wife Ginger and Jeff Carter; grandchildren, Ashley Phifer and Braxton Dean; great grandchildren, Elsie Dean and K.J. Phifer; special niece Virginia Alford.

Mr. Carter was a self-employed mechanic for many years. He was a member of Roberson Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved them very much.

A visitation will be held Friday August 23, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Reverend Donnie Cash and Reverend Jack O’Neal.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Brian Rigsbee, Barry Glenn, Tim Alford, Jody Cash, Jeremy Alford and Chris Cash.
