Timothy Johnson Moore

VERNON HILL, VA Mr. Timothy Johnson Moore, 55, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, following a lengthy illness. He went to his eternal home to be with his Lord and Savior.Tim had lived in Virginia for the past 15 years. He attended Bethesda Elementary School and played on the football team. He graduated from Southern High School where he was in the Drama Club. Tim was a member of the Durham Boys Choir in the 1970’s. After graduation he became an electrician and later started his own Home Improvement Business in Virginia. He enjoyed music and loved to sing and play his guitar. He taught his nephews to play disc golf; enjoyed fishing at the beach with his Dad and was an avid NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed painting. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church.He is survived by his parents, Richard and Myrtle Moore; his brother, Richard D. Moore and wife, Nina; sister, Gwen Brodd and husband, Jeff; nephews, Derek Brodd (Liz), Kyle Brodd (Erin), Mark Brodd (Kristi), Scott Brodd (Kaitlin), Richard Moore, Thomas Moore (Liz); five great nieces and one great-nephew.Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Bethesda Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Rev Hugh O’Shields, Rev. Ralph Thompson and Rev. Scott Brodd will officiate.
