Titus Duke

DURHAM Mr. Titus Duke, 83 of Durham, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017. Mr. Duke was the son of the late John Graham Duke and Bessie Jane Hicks Duke. He served in the U. S. Army National Guard and retired from Burlington Industries. He was a member of the Bethesda Ruritan Club. He loved Blue Grass Music and prior to his illness he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and camping. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Hoover, Milton, Eugene, Marshall, Bobby and Curtis Duke. He is survived by his wife, Elsie Drane Duke; son, Thomas T. Duke and wife, Christy; daughter, Deborah Duke Kraus and husband, Joe; brothers, Billy Duke and wife, Jackie and Linwood Duke and wife, Mary Lou; sister, Brenda Lorren; grandchildren, Kevin Duke, Chris Duke, Elizabeth Duke, Jake Kraus, Rachel Kraus, Kacie Hansard and Chelcie Hansard; three great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Jody Griffin will officiate. Interment will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Kevin Duke, Jake Kraus, Mark Hagwood, Caleb Hagwood, Jackson Hagwood and Connor Hagwood.The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
