Tommie Amos Janney, Jr.

Tommie "Tommy" Amos Janney, Jr passed away on May 06, 2023 at the age of 67.

Tommy was born in 1956 to Tommie Amos Janney Sr. (deceased) and Emma Jean Christensen (deceased).  He was the oldest of two children and loved his sister, Susan Hawkins (deceased), very much.

Tommy loved being a father to his 4 children, Brittany (Ben) Broughton, Chelsea (Matthew) Harris, Kendall (Peter) Oakley, and Tommie "Shea" (Misty) Janney, whom he shared with his former wife, Diane Detweiler.

He was the proud Poppie of 12 grandchildren, Hali, Kobie, Kurizma, Keydin,  Tommie "Landen," Austin, Lexie, Skyler, Emma, Levi, Ava and Jasper.

Tommy loved to visit with friends and family.  He would always show a smile and wave to anyone.  On a nice day you would find him with a pole in his hand and waiting for the fish to bite.  If he ever had the chance, he would visit his favorite place, Carolina Beach.  If he wasn't outside enjoying the weather, you would find him watching a classic on the TV.

Even though he is now walking with the Lord, Tommy's spirit will forever shine in those that he knew and loved.

A Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Hudson Funeral Home with a Memorial Service following at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Greg Long.
