Travis Edward Finch, Sr.

Mr. Finch  was born February 25, 1939, in Franklinton, NC the late Clarence Edward Finch and Louise Cawthorne Finch.

Mr. Finch loved spending time with family. Every Christmas morning, he would visit all of his grandchildren to see what they got for Christmas. He enjoyed wood working and working on cars and trucks with his son Ed. He attended Ryder Truck Driving School and received a Driver Safety Award. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, Ice Road Truckers, and western movies. He was a loving father and grandfather and friend.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Finch is preceded by his wife Margie Finch; and a brother, Willard Finch.

He is survived by a son Travis Edward “Ed” Finch, Jr. (Rhonda); daughters, Teresa Jones, Lynne Tedder (Joey) of Middlesex, NC, and Regina Oakley (Trinity) of Hurdle Mills, NC; sister, Linda Grogan; grandchildren, Tim Nichols (Shannon), Jacinda Moody (James) and Justin Finch; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Joshua, and Brent Nichols, Alexia, Ava, and Paxton Moody; and close friend Artie Holshauser.

A visitation will be held Thursday November 2, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. A funeral will be held Friday November 3, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Officiating will the Reverend Joey Tedder. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Justin Finch, Tim Nichols, Joshua Nichols, Brent Nichols, Trinity Oakley, and James Moody. Honorary Pallbearer will be Artie Holshauser.

Flowers are acceptable.
