Tucker Randall Thames

October 30, 1984 — April 18, 2022

Mr. Tucker Randall Thames, 37, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 18, 2022. After a long, courageous battle with a disability, Tucker’s body is whole again and healed.

Tucker was born October 30, 1984 in Durham, NC, a son of his father and idol, Troy Randall Thames (Sharon) and his mother and comfort, Tammy Blankenship Pulley (Scott). He dearly loved his parents and spending time with his family and friends. Tucker served as a proud and patriotic American as a Sergeant in the NC National Guard Reserve. He loved guns and became a master gunsmith. Tucker would clean any and everyone’s gun he came in contact with. In his younger years, he enjoyed four wheeling and was an avid pool player.

Tucker was very courageous. He dealt with his disability in a strong way, with grace and courage. Tucker was a true man and was loved by many people. He will be deeply missed by those blessed to have known him.

Tucker was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Louis M. Blankenship, Jr. and Emily Hayes Blankenship.

In addition to his parents, Tucker is survived by his brother, Colton Thames; step-brother, Heath Watts; step-sister, Sarah Slingerland; aunts, Carla Baldwin “LaLa” and Mindy Kempson; cousins, Emma, Bailey, Paige, and Taylor; as well as other loving family members and friends.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2022 at Hudson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Mauldin officiating.

The family will receive friends at the home of Scott and Tammy Pulley.
