ORANGE-Mrs. Vickie Ray Nicholson, 58, wife of Daryl Nicholson of Efland died on Sunday, August 14, 2011. She was a member of Efland United Methodist Church. Vickie worked for N.W. Young for 30 years prior to working for North Carolina Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat. She was preceded in death by her father Carmel Ray and brother, Jeffrey Ray.She is survived by her mother, Margaret C. Ray of Durham; one son, Joshua Nickelous Nicholson of Efland, one brother, Butch Ray (Wife) Kathi of Bahama; one granddaughter, Ripsey Blankenship of Mebane. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Efland United Methodist Church. Rev. Cindy Lister will officiate. Burial will be in Efland Memorial Methodist Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be James Nicholson, Lawrence Green, Alan Green, Barry Marlow, Keith Crabtree and Jack Sanderford. The family will receive friends on Monday from 7 to 9 at Hudson Funeral Home.
