HILLSBOROUGH Mr. Victor “Vic” Lynn Holleman, Sr., 71, of Hillsborough, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017.Mr. Holleman was born in Durham, the son of the late Raymond Baxter Holleman and Doris Chester Dunn. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Era and was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska. Vic retired as a Union Representative and Machine Supplier from the American Tobacco Company after 22 years. He loved fishing and was a member of the Hillsborough Fishing Club and was an avid Duke fan. He enjoyed nature, for he was a fine artist. Vic will be remembered as someone with a sense of humor who worked to make everyone’s day better with a laugh or a smile. Vic will be remembered as a loving husband, father and Pop Pop. Vic is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Vickie Shepherd Holleman; three children, Scott Hogan and wife, Julie, Victor Lynn Holleman, Jr. and Jennifer Lynn Holleman Faircloth and husband, Brad; brothers, Edwin Holleman and wife, Helen, Darryl Holleman and wife, Cathy and Raymond Holleman, Jr. and wife, Carol; sisters-in-law, Lorrie Holleman and Sharie Baker and husband, Larry; mother-in-law, Marie Shepherd; five grandchildren; fur babies, Sally May and Duke; and many loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Chester Holleman.The family will receive friends on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 4 to 5 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 5 p.m. Rob Hight will officiate.
