Virginia Lee Marks Rochelle

Durham-Virginia Lee Marks Rochelle, 88, of Durham died on Monday, February 20, 2012 after several years of declining health. She was a native and long life resident of Durham, the daughter of the later William Henry Wilson and Mamie Harris Wilson. She retired as a Sales Clerk from K-Mart after 15 years of service and also worked for the Lions Club. She was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Friendship Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sonnie Claiborne Rochelle, Sr., three brothers, Joe Wilson, Percy Wilson and Jimmy Wilson, one sister, Volena Watson.She is survived by her children, Sonnie C. Rochelle, Jr. (Wife) Annie Jo of Clayton; Early Marks of Chapel Hill; Glenda George (Husband) Carl Thomas George of Durham; Jerry Wayne Marks (Wife) Teresa of Durham; Frank Rochelle (Wife) Jane of Raleigh; four grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. Rev. Jody Griffin and James West will officiate. Burial will be in Brier Creek Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and othger times at the home of her daughter Glenda George at 7706 Herndon Rd.
