DURHAM- Mr. William Wallace Seagroves, 83, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Hock Family Pavilion.
Mr. Seagroves was born December 5, 1937 to the late William and Beulah Seagroves in Apex, NC. He proudly served his country in the North Carolina Army National Guard and retired after 30 years of service. Mr. Seagroves worked for the State of North Carolina for 30 years where he retired. He enjoyed building, square dancing, camping, go-cart racing and NASCAR, especially Richard Petty. Mr. Seagroves will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and brother.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Paula Crook Seagroves; brothers, Graham Seagroves and Tommy Seagroves; sister, Deborah Clark.
Mr. Seagroves is survived by his son, William P. Seagroves; daughter, Jennifer Seagroves Duke; sisters, Christine Herndon and Sandra Sirhan; beloved companions, Smokey and Dusty.
A visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 21, 2021 at Hudson Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Hugh O’Shields and speaking will be Sandra Sirhan. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens with military rites.
