Wanda Gibbs House

DURHAM  Mrs. Wanda Lou Gibbs House, 87, of Durham, died on Thursday, July 16, 2015.

Mrs. House was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late William Leonard Gibbs, Sr. and Mabel Joyner Gibbs. She retired from SAS Institute as Telephone Operator.  Wanda loved her family, reading and anything related to animals. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Aubrey House; son, Frank Wayne House and brother, William Leonard Gibbs, Jr.

She is survived by her son, Mike House and wife Cathy of Wilmington; daughters, Susan Byers (Michael) of Wilmington and Jennifer House (Trevor) of Durham; brother, Charles Gibbs (Patricia) of Durham; sister, Linda Hemphill (Wayne) of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Doug House (Denise) and Chris Byers (Brooke); great-grandchildren, Makayla House, Britain Byers, Davis House and Wakia Byers.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Bethesda Baptist Church.
