DURHAM- Mrs. Wanda Jean Hancock, 74, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, April 20, 2017 at Bryan Center South Point.
Mrs. Hancock was born November 25, 1942 in Henry Co., VA. She attended Henry County schools. Mrs. Hancock worked for many years and retired from Weck. She loved to collect Angels. The family would like to thank the Bryan Center for the love, care, and compassion shown to our mom and a special thank you to Terri Beaver for always being there.
Mrs. Hancock is preceded in death her husband, Larry Wayne Hancock; sons, Richard Lee Hunt, Jr., and Ronald Wayne Hunt; brother, Melvin Sawyer; sister, Priscilla Allen.
Mrs. Hancock is survived by her sons, James V. Hunt (Rebecca), Steven H. Caulder (Terri); daughters, Michelle Hunt-Anderson; step-daughter, Melissa D. Franko; brothers, J.W. Sawyer, R.V. Sawyer; sister, Frances Snipes; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren, and an abundance of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 24, 2017 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Rev. Tim Wheeler.
