Wanda Jefferies Westbrook

Wanda Ruth Jefferies Westbrook, 73, passed away, December 29, 2021, at home with her loving family.

Mrs. Westbrook was born November 29, 1948, to the late Harold and Ruth Jefferies in Durham, NC. Wanda was of the Christian Faith; she had a caring and giving nature. She was always willing to help her family and friends in any way she could. She enjoyed a good thrift store or yard sale, donuts, and spoiling her grandkids. Wanda was an avid lover of all things Duke basketball and would tear up the dance floor at karaoke.

In addition to her father and mother, Wanda is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Westbrook; son, Jon Wells; brother, Wayne Jefferies and sister JoAnn Ferrell.

She is survived by her daughter Ginger Hester (Charles) of Hillsborough; son, Darryl Holsonback (Michelle) of New Jersey; step-daughters: Tonia Johnson (Brian) of Raleigh and Vikki Westbrook, of Roxboro.

She was a beloved grandmother who cherished many grandchildren: Allison Crabtree, Makailla and Savanna Slocum, Amber Murray, Meagan and Destiny Yackel, Dakota Spivey, Courtney Johnson, Zack and Dalton Davis; Anthony, JJ and Johnathan Holsonback. Wanda also adored her great-grandchildren, Christian Portillo, Aliveah and Vaeda DeClue.

Mrs. Westbrook was also a beloved Aunt to her Nephew Justin Jefferies (Katie) of South Carolina, and a Niece Jena Rhea (Hal) of Florida

A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Hudson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 3, 2022 at Hudson Funeral Home.

Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions to the Breast Cancer Society as Wanda unfortunately succumbed to breast cancer after 20 years in remission.
