Wanda Ray

GARNER-Mrs. Wanda Vera Ray, 80, died on Friday, February 25, 2011. She lived most of her life in Raleigh and was of the Baptist faith. She was the daughter of the late Roscoe James and Gertrude Cox McDaniel. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Thomas Ray and son Terry A. Ray. Mrs. Ray retired from Northern Telecom. She is survived by 1 sons; Thomas E. Ray & wife Sondra of Clayton; 1 daughter; Linda R. Bickel and husband Don of Garner. 2 brothers; Richard McDaniel of Raleigh; Dale McDaniel of Angier; 2 sisters; Phyllis Joyner of Raleigh; Diane Lamberson of Georgia; sister-in-law; Joyce Yates. 4 Grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 6 step great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
