Wilbert “Ray” Barbour Sr.

Mr. Wilbert “Ray” Barbour, Sr., 71, passed away on April 10, 2022.

Ray was born April 20, 1950 in Erwin, NC, a son of the late Wilbert Parker and Helen Frances Strickland Barbour. He lived in Durham, NC for most of his life and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Ray was a member of Oak Grove Masonic Lodge #750, as well as the 32 Degree Scottish Rite and Amran Shriners. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Mr. Barbour is survived by his wife of 51 years, Brenda “Binky” Barbour; son, Wilbert Ray Barbour, Jr.; daughters, Stacey Barbour Perry (Michael) and Lavonda Nicole Ferrell; step-mother, Barbara Jean Barbour; brother, Robert Macon Barbour; and grandchildren, Peyton Perry, Cameron Perry, Jackson Barbour, CJ McFall, and Trinity Tuck.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, April 17, 2022 at Hudson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 18, 2022 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Dale Brooks. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
