Willard Lentz Franklin

DURHAM- Mr. Willard Lentz Franklin, 88, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020.
Mr. Franklin was born on April 11, 1931 to Henry and Maybelle Franklin in Rockingham, NC. Willard proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was the owner of Carolina Carpets and Franklin Rentals. Willard loved to work and was an avid Duke basketball fan. He loved his family and spending time with them. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Franklin was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Maybelle Franklin; brothers, Leonard, Liston, and Leeland Franklin; and sisters, Lois, Lucille, and Lurlene Franklin. He is survived by his sons, Corey Franklin (Eleanor) of Durham, NC, Craig Franklin of Sanford, NC; brother, Lewis Franklin (Bobbie-Jean) of Graham, NC; grandchildren, Brandon Franklin, Jesse Franklin, Spring Sutton, Corey Franklin Jr., Amanda Franklin, and Amelia Franklin; and great-grandchildren, Kaleb Sutton, Kameron Sutton, Brianna Franklin, Brandon Franklin Jr., Konner Sutton, Reese Franklin, Joshua Franklin, and Jessica Franklin.
