William Ray Bolton

DURHAM- Mr. William “Ray” Bolton, 73, passed away on Thursday, December 3rd, 2020.

Mr. Bolton was born on December 23rd, 1946 to Cecil and Alice Bolton at Watts Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. He loved all sports and was an avid fan of UNC. Ray had the best time joking around and making up ghost stories to share with his nieces and nephews. One thing he surely enjoyed was being around water and you would often see him out boating on the lake or vacationing at Daytona Beach.

Ray will be remembered as a loving son, brother, and uncle. He will be deeply missed by everyone that was blessed to have known him.

Mr. Bolton was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Alice Bolton; and brother, Tony Bolton.

Mr. Bolton is survived by his brother, Cecil Rodney Bolton (Carolyn); sisters, Ginger B. Stanhope (Ralph) and Brenda B. Holder (Billy); and numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens on Tuesday December 8^th, 2020 at 11:00 AM. Reverend David Herman will be officiating the service.
