William Finch

DURHAM-Mr. William “Bill” Sanford Finch, Sr., 85 of 1210 Hamlin Rd. died on Friday, May 6, 2011. He was the son of the late James Alexander and Eunice Inscoe Finch. Mr. Finch served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Borden Brick & Tile after 44 years of service as a Manufacturing Supervisor. He was a member of Cedar Fork Baptist Church, worked 5 years for Durham Missionary Alliance, member of American Legion Post #7. He was a good husband, father and loved by all his friends. He is survived by his wife Marie Parrish Finch of the home, 1 son, William Sanford Finch Jr. of Creedmoor; 3 daughters, Donna Furr Belk of Rock Mount; Deborah Lynn Johnson of Creedmoor; Cindy Ricketts of Onieda, NY; 1 brother, Robert Finch of Reidsville, N.C.; 1 sister, Ruby Bland of Durham, 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.Graveside service will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Burial will be in mausoleum. Rev. Mark Stephens and Rev. John Gorsuch will officiate. The family will receive friends at the home, 1210 Hamlin Rd.
