William “WJ” Joseph Burgoon, Jr.

Kernersville- William “WJ” Joseph Burgoon Jr., 65, called home on Monday, March 7, 2016. He was the son of the late William “Bill” Burgoon and Pauline “Polly” Burgoon, his sister Deborah Burgoon Douglas. He managed a girls softball team, an avid Duke Basketball fan, loved Nascar, and he was a smooth talker. In his younger days, he was a firefighter, car salesman and a painter. He was an escort driver for oversized loads. He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Burgoon; Kimberly Champion, sons, Joey Barber and Joseph “Sarge” Winter; step-children, Nikki Glunt, Tori Matlock, Stephanie Matlock and Gary Lance; grandchildren, Johnathan Whitfield, Destiny Whitfield, Branden Turner, Brysen Passon and James Herrmann V.
