Wilmer Fogleman Blankenship

DURHAM Mrs. Wilmer Fogleman Blankenship, 90, formerly of the Gorman Community, died on Sunday, July 22, 2012.She was born in Durham to the late Wiley and Alice Glenn Fogleman. She was a member of Gorman Baptist Church. Mrs. Blankenship was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Monroe Blankenship, Sr.; two sons, Louis Monroe Blankenship, Jr. and Edwin Craig Blankenship and one daughter, Sandra Kay Boyd.She is survived by 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Gorman Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. C. J. Bordeaux, Sr. and Dr. Marc Tilley. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12 to 2 p.m., before the service at the church and other times at the home of Cherie Richard, 1905 B Street in Butner.
