Emerald Isle.- Mrs. Barbara Hill Currie, 75, of Emerald Isle, died on Sunday, August 26, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Richard Cash Hill and Gertrude Thomas Hill. Mrs. Currie retired from Glaxo. She was a member of Carolina Coastal Decorative Painters. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Salter, two sisters, Joyce Hawley and Jean Mitchell.She is survived by her daughter, Kim Black (Terry) of Creedmoor; two sisters, Cecila Dulin of Rowlett Texas and Cheryl Wickers of Sharpsbury, NC; three grandchildren, Nanci Salter, Jandi McPherson, Colton Black, two great-grandchildren, Kyley McPherson, Isaac McPherson.Family will receive friends at Hudson Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Flowers are acceptable or memorials can be made to: Atlantic House, PO Box 81, Morehead City, N.C. 28557.
