Bette Terrell Dobbs

DOBBSDURHAM Mrs. Bette Terrell Dobbs, 64, of 2909 Cadillac Avenue, died on Tuesday, April 20, 2010.Bette grew up on a farm in Pennsylvania and always enjoyed horses. In her younger years she worked in the show dog field; grooming training and boarding cats and dogs. Bette worked for EPA for 26 years where she managed teams caring for lab animals. Now retired, Bette had become the co-owner of the BrewMaster Store in Durham and co-founder of the Solar Thermal Power.com. She was a one legged fat lady, a character in a scooter-chair with her pet miniature horse, Flicka. She was “Mom” to many and is missed by everyone.She is survived by her husband, Rix Dobbs of Durham; brother, Daryl Terrill of Meadville, Pa; mother-in-law, Shirley Lemme of Durham and aunt Bette Richards of Colorado Springs Co.There are no services planned at this time. In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to your local S.P.C.A. Bette thanks you. Interment will be in St. Hippolyte’s Cemetery in Frenchtown, Pa. Arrangements are being handled by Hudson Funeral Home.
